A Need for More Impact
While Poka had an existing calculator, the user experience was not as sophisticated as the company needed it to be. As a result, click-throughs were down. Poka wanted to refresh its bland, outdated, scroll-heavy calculator to add in some elements, minimize all the scrolling, and better showcase the bottom-line benefits.
Creating a User-Friendly Flow
One of the first steps the Clear Digital team took was to reframe the information flow to increase engagement. By breaking the calculator into four key areas for ROI potential, we eliminated the need for scrolling and reframed the savings as a compelling visual. The back-end of the calculator was an Excel model Poka had developed using current customer data. Our programmers brought this into HTML and connected the calculator to Poka’s existing Hubspot solution for delivering the report and kicking off the engagement journey.
Enabling Increased Engagement
With the new logic flow, the user journey is streamlined and more directly connected to the savings potential. By simplifying the steps, the updated calculator also makes it more likely for visitors to finish the final step and fill out the lead capture form. While the user can see savings as it accumulates at each step in the process, the full report is only available by providing essential contact information.
A More Branded Experience
The design of the calculator is clean and simple with important touches of the Poka brand. From the progress bar and color gradations to the clear description of next steps, the calculator style reflects the confidence and simplicity of the company’s spare visual style.
